    Marianne Pinkston’s Morning Sidekick Story!

    1. Q: How many years young are you and what is your living situation?
    1. 49. I am a newly divorced and single mom of 3 (12,15,17) and I am getting journals for them to learn early what I learned at almost 50.

    2. Q: What's the biggest challenge you faced in changing your morning routine? How have you dealt with it/got over it/are still dealing with it?
    2. My biggest challenge in developing a morning journal routine is lack of energy. I am so fatigued from working so hard and want to sleep in every second I can. I have never been a morning person. I stay up late more easily. Then I learned about cortisol or stress hormone levels and circadian rhythms and how we should be most productive early in the am. Used vitamins and hormones and herbs natural only and learned how to make mornings part of my rhythm and that it takes 21 days to make a habit. I had a calendar and marked off each day that I woke and completed my journal. I found it was peaceful and that I felt better and corrected my health by flipping my days and nights. Journaling made my health better. Sleep earlier. Better schedule. Wake same day each day. Habits. Schedules. Freedom.

    3. Q: What time did you wake up and go to sleep before you started using the Morning Sidekick Journal, and what time do you wake up and sleep now?
    3. I used to do 2 am to 7 now I am 11-4:30

    4. Q: What did your mornings look like before you started using the Morning Sidekick Journal? What do your mornings look like now?
    4. I used to sleep to the last minute naturally I was always late and disorganized. Being late and disorganized I forgot things. I didn’t eat. I was agitated. Fought with my kids and was agitated and still tired even though I slept. Now I wake up and enjoy embracing the day by getting organized and my kids are more relaxed and less fighting and I’m no longer late. I have more gratitude and even work out!!! Less stress more energy and I appreciate my days and me time now.

    5. Q: In one sentence, what's your favorite thing about the Morning Sidekick Journal?
    5. My favorite thing about my journal is the new found peace I have that I am truly in control now of how my day starts which impacts how beautiful my day ends.

    6. Q: How long have you been using the Morning Sidekick Journal?
    6. A friend gave me a morning journal 6 months maybe ago and it changed my life. I think I described above how the morning journal changed my existence and now I bought 17 journals to pass out to my patients and give them the newfound peace I have in journaling I am now passing on to my patients. They will see the same results and learn the value of taking care of themselves and finding hope and gratitude. Your journals are not just blank pieces of paper to record appointment times and scratch out tasks. Your journals are roadmaps of tips and specific advice and places to record a plan. A plan and a vision of the new day that is full of potential to prove my greatness in this world of problems and obstacles. A plan and a chance at healing relationships with my kids after a bad divorce. A plan and a chance to pass on organizational skills and peace planning to my kids and patients and changing so many lives which in turn changes a city or state or country and even the world. What we write and plan for the day is the roadmap to peace in a world of chaos. Really journaling is the missing link mental physical emotional and spiritual healing. It pulls together the best of all those worlds.
