Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment do I need?
Nothing. You can do everything from home with just a doorframe (for rows), a wall (for some exercises), and floor space.
How is the series organized?
There are six progressive “blocks” in the series. Each block covers two months (two books) and focuses on improving two specific compound movements at a time.
Will we only work on push-ups and squats through the book?
No, not at all! Each workout is designed to cover multiple body parts with a range of varying exercises. These compound movements will have a bit more of a focus than others (they show up more often and have additional challenges associated with them).
Should I warm up before my workout?
Spend a few minutes doing light movement to prepare your body. Quick arm circles, gentle torso twists, or a brief walk will increase blood flow to your muscles. No formal stretching routine is required - just make sure your body feels ready to begin.
Do I need to do each exercise in order?
Yes. Complete all sets of one exercise before moving to the next. Start with exercise 1, set 1, then rest, then do set 2, and continue until all sets for exercise 1 are complete. Then move to exercise 2 and follow the same pattern.
How long should I rest between sets and exercises?
Rest 60-90 seconds between sets of the same exercise. When moving to a new exercise, you can transition immediately or take a brief 15-30 second setup period if needed.
What if I have an injury or my body hurts when doing a specific movement?
Stop immediately if you feel sharp pain (not normal muscle burn). Skip that exercise (or substitute it with another exercise of your choice) and continue with the rest of your workout. Joint pain or anything that feels "wrong" means stop. If you have existing injuries, consult a healthcare provider before starting.
Remember: muscle fatigue is normal, joint pain is not.
