    A. The journal allows you to PLAN what you want to eat the night before. Then, you track what you ACTUALLY ate that day. Optionally, you can write in how many calories/macronutrients that meal had too, holding you to your daily eating goals. This is why the journal also works with many types of eating styles.

    A. The journal runs 8.5" tall, 5.8” wide, and 0.8” thick and fits easily in most bags.     Life changer!

    I have been trying to lose weight via willpower alone for quite a while and have reached a plateau. I love journals and I thought I'd give this a try. The information is good, broken into easily absorbed chunks that aren't overwhelming. I appreciate the phased approach and the fact that the goal is habit/behavior mastery and not just losing weight. There's a lot of background information and build up before you dive into changing your approach and I appreciate that. It felt better than just randomly deciding to try and lose weight by willpower alone. As you can see from the video, I have made a lot of notes in my journal to help draw attention to areas I might find helpful to revisit.

    I do find it tedious to write out the nutritional info every single day so I started using an app for that part so I can just scan barcodes and move on with my life. My ideal approach would be to plan out meals the night before then log info the following day. I'm noticing results, already down a few pounds despite having two out of town celebratory (easy to overdo it) events! Before I think I would have felt like I might as well give up on the whole thing but this journal encourages incremental progress, awareness that you'll screw up sometimes, and forgiving yourself but forging ahead when you do. I'm excited to see where I am at when I get to the end of this book!

    Awesome journals

    I recently bought 4 journals, stretching , yoga, dumbbell and body weight.
    One thing that I really love about these journals is that they aren’t overwhelming and are easy to follow and favorite is the QR code that I can scan in the book that shows how to do the exercise so I make sure I am doing it correctly ! I just love how easy they are to use and I do plan on getting more later on!! So glad I found these journals

    I like being able to track macros instead of just calories, when I track calories I get hyper fixated on the number. I know I don't eat enough protein so I make sure I get my total grams of protein everyday. Since, 85 - 90% of my diet is whole foods it's also easier to do macros then figure out the calorie count of everything I'm making. I.E. taco salad with yogurt, salsa, corn, mixed greens, taco meat, avocado, mini bell peppers, carrots, grape tomatoes, etc.... This isn't my first Habit Nest journey, I have always found their daily "lessons" helpful. Overall, this is a great book for changing your lifestyle and relationship to food, as opposed to "dieting" .
